Calm and simplicity central in the Medina... this is a really likeable guesthouse, and one that comes most close to "the real thing".

Slightly smaller than the more famous and palace like guesthouses, Riad Sara is also more cosy – a small treasure for lovers of the Orient.

Built in the 17th century, the architecture is a “pleasure for the eyes”. In the 21st century the guesthouse offers comfort and a relaxing atmosphere, combined with a very friendly and professional staff.

A Riad is not complete without a terrace, and the terrace of Sara is one of the nicest to be found; an ideal spot for the romantic of heart, with a panoramic view over the city.

In the hustle and bustle of the huge Medina, Riad Sara is a small oasis of style and calm.

LOCATION

Riad Sara is located in a very strategic position in the medina of Fes: there were the two parts of the medina intersect. That means you are at one minute walking from Place Batha, and only a ten minute walk from Kasbah and Place Boujloud as well as the gardens of Jnan Sbil. The riad will come to collect you at Place Batha.

AMENITIES

With a chef that made a career in various big city restaurants, Riad Sara prides itself in being one of the nicest places to dine in Fes. The cuisine is irresistible and unique, and centered around the real Moroccan kitchen, with ingredients that are fresh and always local. The dinner is served on the patio, near the fountain.

THE SUITES

There are 6 Suites and 1 Royal Suite. All suites are different, but equal in the charm of their atmosphere and decoration, and all equipped with the all comforts needed for the modern traveller.

All Suites are approx. 35-40 square meter, and come with a large double bed, a Moroccan Salon, a European Salon, bathroom with bathtub and shower, satellite TV and air-conditioning.

The Royal Suite is of 45 square meter, which is so large that it even contains its own fountain.

OUR OPINION

Riad Sara is a very likeable guesthouse.

This house as a rock, creating a small haven of peace in the humongous medina, is not only very centrally located, making most people can do everything by foot, but also comes with a tasteful simplicity and very nice hosts.
