Riad Dollar des Sables is not about design or boutique or any other trend. What this small and cosy Riad does offer, is authenticity and a truly Moroccan atmosphere.

“In the heart of the Medina” is a very often used expression – and with the Medina of Marrakech being humongous, it can take over half an hour or, depending on the direction, over an hour, to get from one side to the other.

With Riad Dollar des Sables however you can safely say you are in the heart of the heart of the Medina, and very close to everything.

The riad is a traditional Moroccan mansion, recently refurbished to a high standard by local craftsmen, with rigorous respect for the local style and using traditional materials such as ceramic and tadelakt, creating a high comfort atmosphere in an enchanting décor.

Location

You will find Riad Dollar des Sables in Derb Deffa Ourbaa, which is a very tiny and quiet alley, but just around the corner (not even 100 meters) from the hustle and the bustle of the colourful central street of the Souk, and at a 5 minute walk from Jmnaa El Fnaa Square. This location is ideal for anyone looking for the best of two worlds: Calm – within 1 minute from the colourful life of the Souks.

Amenities and Services

The large roof terrace offers a panoramic view, and offers a relaxing moment.

Very original is the hammam on this roof terrace. In the open air, but sheltered and heated with wood, you will not easily find a more original hammam experience. Afterwards you can cool off with the open air shower.

The riad also includes a Moroccan Sitting Room and WIFI internet connection. In the afternoon, there is mint tea for our guests. You can also ask for cooking lessons, and city and day tours can be organised.

And of course laundry service (upon request).

Eating and Drinking

The Moroccan breakfast will be served either in the count yard, the dining room or in guests' bedrooms according to the customers preference. Room service is also available for drinks and snacks.

Also, Mouna can cook special Moroccan meals for you, upon request with 2 different menus every week.

The 6 rooms of Riad Dollar des Sables are spread over 3 floors:

ZAHIA
A spacious twin room with tadelakt bathroom and ceiling fan on the patio level.

BAHIA and LALITHA
Double rooms on the 1st floor, with air-conditioning and private bathrooms.

SAFIA and SALMA
These are two Deluxe Rooms, situated on the 1st floor, with Air-Conditioning, private bathrooms and a high comfort level.

DOLLAR DES SABLES SUITE
Our Suite is on the terrace level, and offers a very high standard with luxurious and refined decoration, with a bathroom with a rounded bath and an arched roof. For true romantics this suite is much in demand for honeymoons or other special occasions.

On request, we can offer adjoining rooms on the first floor.

A very nice traditional, small and cosy riad that combines a just excellent location with an original hammam.

Rates quoted are based on 2 guests sharing and include Moroccan breakfast, water upon arrival and mint tea.

Not Included
- Tourist Tax: 10 Dhs per person per night.
- Lunch: 15€ per person
- Dinner: 20€ per person

Massage service: 32€ per hour
Airport Transfers: 7€ per person one way
Laundry Service

These additionals are charged at the time of stay only.

Booking Deposit
To secure the booking a 20% deposit will have to be paid by PayPal at the time of confirmation.

Balance
The 80% balance is due at the time of stay.

You will be contacted for your credit card details. These details are not used, only in case of cancellations or No Show.

Cancellations
General Cancellations: Loss of deposit + 30€ administration fee.
Cancellations within 30 days prior to arrival: 30% of full stay
Cancellations within 21 days prior to arrival: 50% of full stay
Cancellations within 8 days prior to arrival: 75% of full stay
Cancellations within 2 days prior to arrival: 100% of full stay
